Quarryside is in the small hamlet of Banks and is directly on the Hadrian’s Wall National Trail. Hadrian’s Wall, the Lake District, the Northern Pennines, Northumberland National Park and the Scottish Borders are all within easy travelling distance.
From the west: from Carlisle follow the A69 to Brampton. Pass through the town and take a left turning marked Lanercost for 3 miles until you reach Banks. Quarryside is at the bottom of the village green.
From the east: from Newcastle turn off the A69 for Brampton, then almost immediately turn right for Banks and Lanercost. Continue until you reach Banks.
